  • As we celebrate the Memorial Day holiday and the official beginning of summer, let us thank God for the many women and men who have served in the military and especially those who lost their lives in that service. I am always mindful of my grandfather, Dad, and oldest sister who gave several years of their lives in service to our country. Although they returned home safely, I am aware that others did not. As we remember our deceased service women and men, let us also remember to pray for their families who continue to mourn their loss. May our good and gracious God comfort and bless them in abundance.
